About Espotting
Espotting is a major European based pay per click search engine. Until recently, ESpotting was essentially the European equivalent of Overture. They are expensive, but it is because they can afford to be. They could justify these prices because they had exceptionally broad coverage.
The buyout of Overture by Yahoo! has caused Yahoo! Europe to dump Espotting in favor of Overture...and thus the giant appears to be winning the war. Espotting is no longer the #1 pay per click search engine in Europe. Yahoo!'s Overture and Google's AdWords both heavily overshadow Espotting in distribution.

On Feb. 9, 2004 Espotting was acquired by FindWhat, which was the #2 pure pay per click play in the United States. Both companies were rapidly loosing market share to Overture and Google AdWords. They hope to gain strength by combining their customers and user base to gain market share through cross promotion.
If you span across multiple price per click search engines it is a good idea to track the investments you have made to see which engines are investments and which are just money spent.

Suggestion for Espotting
This is one of the few exceptions to the rule where opening an additional account (beyond Google AdWords and Overture) may be well worth the added required resources. If you are targeting a European audience with your pay per click campaign, Espotting can give you significant distribution.
