Pay Per Click Search Engines

Why Pay Per Click Search Engines are Good

  • Cheap business investment: Pay per click search engines allow you to quickly test a business model without needing to fully invest in the idea.
  • Fast feedback loops: Pay per click search engines provide fast feedback loops. Google AdWords accounts can be online in less than 5 minutes and providing you customers in less than 10.
  • Extreme targeting: You get to target exactly what search phrases you are interested in. You also can target location and time of day with some engines.
  • ROI tracking: Many pay per click search engines include free tracking software with their ads. In addition many third party software vendors. You can track every cent you spend.
  • User initiates commerce: Like other forms of search engine marketing it is still the user who initiates the commerce.

Free Pay Per Click Search Engine Secrets Report

I created a free PPC secrets ebook because I did not think there was an adequate good and free guide to PPC available on the web.

There is no hard sales pitch, just good free info. It is a PDF so you need the Adobe Reader to view it. It is about 20 pages. Download your free copy today.

Some of the pages on this site may get dated over time, but that report is constantly kept up to date.

Why Large Pay Per Click Search Engines are Best

Weighing the options, it usually turns out that the larger pay per click search engines more than justify their click prices. Some of them offer tools such as:

  • geotargeting
  • tracking
  • Google AdWords offers bid price based on click through rate (saves money for good ads)
  • more reliable traffic
  • faster feedback loops
  • easier account management
  • usually less worries about fraud

Comparing Various Pay Per Click Search Engines

  • Large price per click search engines Overture & Google Adwords.
    • Advantages:
      • Broadest distribution & features.
      • Most reliable traffic streams.
      • Fastest feedback loops.
      • Ease of maintenance.
    • Disadvantages:
      • Highest click prices.
  • Mid Size pay per click search engines FindWhat, Kanoodle, Enhance Interactive, Search123, GoClick, LookSmart, SearchFeed, etc.
    • Advantages:
      • Cheaper click prices.
      • May work on some keywords that are prohibitively expensive on Overture or Google AdWords.
      • Many Meta search engines and portals mix pay per click search listings in their search results. often times these are from second tier search engines (and sometimes Overture / AdWords). this helps expand their distribution network.
    • Disadvantages:
      • Excessive time drain (hard to maintain many different accounts).
      • Little traffic.
      • Excessive fraud concerns.
  • Smaller pay per click search engines - I generally do not recommend smaller pay per click search engines.
    • Advantages:
      • Exceptionally cheap click prices.
    • Disadvantages:
      • Excessive time drain (hard to maintain many different accounts).
      • Little traffic.
      • Excessive fraud concerns.
      • Slow feedback loops.
      • I started my own PPC search engine just to show how easy it is. a line like $10 free to start means nothing if the search engine is never promoted - which mine isn't... it is just to show the example of how easy it is to waste time on small PPC search engines.
      • Please read: Why small PPC search engines are bad.
